Trade the noise of Walking Street for a quiet night on the water. After dark your private boat leaves Bali Hai Pier and anchors out in Pattaya Bay, where powerful lamps are switched on above the water. The light draws squid up from the depths, and within minutes the first hand lines start moving. It is calm, unhurried and completely different from a daytime island trip.
Squid fishing needs no experience at all – drop your line, feel the tug, and pull. Anything you land is taken straight to the back of the boat and grilled by the crew, so you eat your catch minutes after it comes out of the sea. With a cool sea breeze, the lights of Pattaya glittering on the shoreline and the boat rocking gently, this is one of the most relaxed evenings you can spend on the Gulf of Thailand.
No. Squid fishing here uses a simple hand line. The crew shows you what to do in a couple of minutes, and children can join in easily.
A full dinner is not included. The crew grills the squid you catch and serves fruit and drinking water, so please eat before pick-up if you want a proper meal.
Yes. The whole boat is reserved for your group only, so the price is charged per boat rather than per person.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks on board. Please carry your rubbish back with you and keep the sea clean.
For safety, the captain may cancel or postpone the trip in rough seas or storms. In that case we offer an alternative date or a full refund.
From your hotel lobby in North, Central or South Pattaya, free of charge. Hotels outside these areas may be subject to an extra transfer charge.
The price is per boat, so children are counted within the maximum number of passengers (6 or 10). Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must wear a life jacket on board. Please tell us the ages of any children when booking so the crew can prepare suitable equipment.
Light jacket or long sleeves for the sea breeze • Camera • Cap or hat • Non-slip / flat shoes or sandals • Insect repellent • Cash for personal expenses • Motion-sickness tablets if you are prone to seasickness.
Send the booking form on this page and we will check availability and confirm your hotel. If everything is fine, we email you a secure payment link. The tour is only booked once payment is completed and a confirmation voucher is emailed to you. Payment links expire 8 hours after they are sent, as tours sell out quickly in high season. If you do not have a hotel yet, write TBC in the hotel field and we will keep your file open. Bookings should be made at least one day before the tour date, up to 8:30 PM office hours. No-show without notice is non-refundable.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time, or failure to appear at the pick-up point, are not refundable.
Free hotel transfer for North Pattaya, Central Pattaya and South Pattaya. Hotels in Jomtien, Na Jomtien, Bang Saray, Sattahip or other out-of-route areas may incur an additional transfer charge – please ask us before booking.
All times shown are estimates only and may change due to traffic, sea and weather conditions, or any other unforeseen circumstances. The captain has final authority on safety matters and may adjust or shorten the route. Alcohol is not permitted for anyone handling fishing equipment, and passengers must follow the crew's safety instructions at all times.
