You will experience an exciting elephant riding through the camp and the local farmland for nearly an hour.

In a country famed for its exotic jungles and wildlife, the ChangThai Thappraya Safari and Adventure Park offers visitors a great opportunity to see some of this flora and fauna up close. However, as a full safari and adventure park, the establishment offers a lot more than just animals. Guests are free to try their hand at things such as shooting and ATV riding as well. The park offers riding excursions on a number of steeds. As many visitors to Thailand are keen to try it, elephant trekking is one of the park’s most popular activities. Guests can ride in a carriage situated on the back of an elephant, guided by a mahout, or trainer, who has a special bond with each elephant as they raise them from youth. Treks are available for either one hour or 30 minutes. Each one will allow visitors to get a true understanding of the sheer power and size of these elephants and better comprehend the importance these animals once held.

The one-hour trek costs 800 baht for adults and 550 baht for children. The half hour trek is available at 600 baht for adults and 350 baht for children. After the trek, riders will be served fruit and drinks, and might also have a chance to feed the elephants and have their pictures taken with them.

For those who might want a more familiar steed, horses are also available for jungle ridges. The prices are the same for adults and children as they are for the elephant rides, so it all comes down to a matter of preference.

Pattaya Activities at ChangThai Thappraya Safari Park

In addition to riding, the ChangThai Thappraya Safari and Adventure Park offers a shooting range, renting out guns and ammunition that might not be available in other parts of the world.

Packages are sold including the gun rental and ammunition of either 25 or 50 rounds in certain calibers. Available packages include .22 caliber, .38 caliber, .45 caliber, 9mm rounds and shotgun shells, each offering 25 or 50 bullets, with the exception of shotguns that have packages offering either 10 or 25 shells. Prices range from 1000 baht to shoot off 25 .22 caliber bullets to 3000 baht to fire 50 9mm or .45 caliber rounds. Whatever package you choose, shooting on the range is an invigorating and fun experience.

In addition to the animals and firearms, the park also offers ATV and buggy rentals. Although quite powerful, these vehicles are also safe and easy to learn, so even those without any experience can take part in the fun.
