Similan Islands National Park is a nine-island chain around 85 km north-west of Phuket, famous for powder-white granite beaches, huge boulder formations and some of the clearest water in Thailand. This full day tour departs from the private Tablamu Pier aboard a speed catamaran, with hotel pickup available from either Phuket or Khao Lak, visiting Donald Duck Bay and the famous Sail Rock viewpoint on Island No. 8, snorkeling at Ba Ngu Island (No. 9) and Payu Island (No. 7), with a Thai buffet lunch served on a white sand beach.

🗓️ Itinerary
05:30–07:30am
Pick up from your Phuket or Khao Lak hotel lobby, then transfer to Tablamu Pier.
07:30 am
Check in at the pier and enjoy breakfast with bread, tea and coffee, along with a briefing from your tour guide.
08:00 am
Board the speed catamaran and depart for the Similan Islands.
Morning
Land at Donald Duck Bay, Island No. 8, with time to walk up to the famous Sail Rock viewpoint.
Late Morning
First snorkeling stop at Ba Ngu Island (Island No. 9), exploring the coral gardens at Coral Bay.
Midday
Thai buffet lunch served on a white sandy beach.
Afternoon
Second snorkeling stop at Payu Island (Island No. 7), where sea turtles and clownfish are often spotted.
4:30–5:00pm
Depart the Similan Islands and return to Tablamu Pier.
5:30 pm
Transfer back to your Phuket or Khao Lak hotel.

What's the difference in price between the Phuket and Khao Lak pickup?

Pickup from Khao Lak is closer to Tablamu Pier, so it is priced lower than pickup from Phuket: 3,400 THB adult / 2,500 THB child from Khao Lak, versus 3,700 THB adult / 2,800 THB child from Phuket.

What time does the tour start and end?

Hotel pickup is around 5:30-7:30am, arriving at Tablamu Pier for breakfast and a briefing. The speed catamaran departs at 8:00am and the tour returns to the pier by around 4:30-5:00pm, with hotel drop-off by around 5:30pm.

Which islands and stops does this tour visit?

The tour visits Donald Duck Bay and the Sail Rock viewpoint on Island No. 8, snorkels at Ba Ngu Island (No. 9) and Payu Island (No. 7), with lunch served on a white sand beach.

When is this tour available?

Similan Islands National Park is open seasonally from around 15 October to 15 May each year. The park is closed to visitors during the monsoon season, roughly mid-May to mid-October, and this tour does not run during the closure.

How is this different from the standard Similan Islands speed boat tour?

This tour uses a speed catamaran with pickup available from either Phuket or Khao Lak, following a Donald Duck Bay, Sail Rock, Ba Ngu and Payu Island route. Our standard Similan Islands Day Trip by Speed Boat departs from Pakarang Pier (Phuket only) and follows a different island route.
