Catching squid can hardly be thought of as fishing, though the first impression is illusive: you do start by sailing in the open sea and casting a spinning rod. Then begins the most enjoyable part. First, this type of fishing takes place in the moonlight, not at daytime. Second, the ship’s searchlights are acting as a bait, effectively attracting squid with the bright light they’re emitting. Finally, it is not some minute fish that gets caught on your hook, but a real sea monster! Well, a small and delicious one, that is. By the way, you can have it cooked for you on board, right after you’ve pulled it out.
