Our longest elephant programme gives you two full days with the rescued herd at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in the Mae Wang valley, with an overnight stay at the camp between them. As with all of our Elephant Jungle Sanctuary programmes there is no elephant riding — instead you spend your time feeding, bathing and getting muddy alongside the elephants, with far more time together than the half-day or full-day visits allow.
Round-trip transportation, an English/Thai-speaking guide, insurance, a photographer, meals, snacks and overnight accommodation at the camp are all included.

📅 Detailed Itinerary
📍 Hotel Pick-up in Chiang Mai
Your guide and vehicle collect you from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai city.
📍 Drive to the Mae Wang Valley
An approximately 1.5-hour drive south of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest and local farming areas.
📍 Arrive at the Sanctuary
Walk 10–15 minutes through the jungle to the camp, change into traditional Karen clothing, and enjoy an introductory lesson on elephant anatomy, history and behaviour.
📍 Meet the Elephants
Feed, interact and play with the elephants in a natural environment while your guide explains their individual stories and behaviour.
📍 Lunch
A traditional Thai lunch with fresh fruit at the camp.
📍 Herbal Medicine Balls & River Walk
Make herbal medicine balls for the elephants, feed them, then walk together down to the river to bathe and brush them.
📍 Mud Spa & Swim
Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa, then cool off with a swim in the river.
📍 Dinner & Evening at the Camp
Rinse off and change, then enjoy dinner at the camp and a relaxed evening before your overnight stay.
📍 Overnight Stay at the Sanctuary
Stay overnight at the camp accommodation in the Mae Wang valley, surrounded by the jungle and the elephants.
📍 Breakfast & Morning Elephant Session
After breakfast, spend a final morning session feeding and bathing the elephants at the river before saying goodbye.
📍 Return to Chiang Mai
Change out of your camp clothes, leave the sanctuary and drive approximately 1.5 hours back to Chiang Mai, with drop-off at your hotel by early-to-mid afternoon.

Q: Will I ride the elephants?
A: No. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is a no-riding programme — you feed, bathe and spend time with the elephants on their terms instead.
Q: What is the accommodation like?
A: You stay overnight at the sanctuary camp in the Mae Wang valley. Please ask our reservation team for current room details when you book, as facilities can vary between the 9 Mae Wang camps.
Q: Can infants join this tour?
A: Yes. Unlike our full-day programme, infants aged 1–3 are welcome on the 2 Days 1 Night visit at the infant rate of 3,000 THB.
Q: What meals are included?
A: Lunch and dinner on Day 1, and breakfast and lunch on Day 2, plus snacks, tea, coffee and drinking water throughout.
Q: What should I bring for the overnight stay?
A: A change of clothes for each day, a towel, sleepwear, any personal toiletries, and sun protection. Camp accommodation is simple, so pack light.
Q: How is this different from the Full Day Visit?
A: Day 1 follows the same programme as our Full Day Visit, but instead of returning to Chiang Mai in the afternoon you stay overnight at the camp and enjoy a second morning session with the elephants before heading back.
