This full-day Chiang Rai tour keeps to three unmissable stops — Mae Kachan Hot Spring, the dazzling White Temple and the surreal Black House Museum — without the extra hours needed to reach the Golden Triangle, so you get a more relaxed pace at each site. It's a good choice if you have already seen the Golden Triangle, are short on time, or simply want to focus on Chiang Rai's temples and museum.
Mae Kachan Hot Spring, Chiang Rai. A natural geothermal spring located between Km. 64 – 65 at Tambol Mae Chedi Mai, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai. Soak your feet in the warm mineral pools and try an egg boiled in the spring water at the roadside market stalls.
Wat Rong Khun, better known as the "White Temple" is one of the most recognizable temples in Thailand. The temple outside the town of Chiang Rai attracts many visitors, both Thai and foreign, making it one of Chiang Rai's most visited attractions.
Baan Dam or Black House Museum. Almost 40 wooden, glass and concrete structures in various styles litter the large grounds. Inside the many buildings you will find Thawan's collection of paintings, sculptures, animal bones, skins and horns.

Q: How is this different from the Golden Triangle tour?
A: This tour skips the Golden Triangle and Mekong boat trip, so it covers fewer stops but with more time at the hot spring, White Temple and Black House Museum, and an earlier return to Chiang Mai.
Q: Is lunch included?
A: Yes, a buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Chiang Rai is included in the price.
Q: What should I wear to the White Temple?
A: Shoulders and knees must be covered. Light long trousers or a skirt and a sleeved top are ideal.
Q: What is the difference between the join-in and private tour?
A: The join-in tour shares a vehicle with other travellers on a fixed schedule. The private tour (3,800 THB, minimum 2 persons) gives you your own vehicle and guide with flexible timing.
🚫 No-Show Policy
- If you have any last-minute changes, please contact our reservation team at least 24 hours in advance — without notice, a no-show rate of 200 THB per person will be charged for the half-day tour
🗺️ Out of Route Area
- The following areas are considered out of area for pick up and drop off: Mae Rim area, Sa Moeng area, Hang Dong area, San Kampang area, Veranda High Resort and some others outside of the city center — we will suggest a hotel in the city center as a meeting point at the time of confirmation
- A request for pick up and drop off at an out of area hotel is possible at an extra charge of 700 baht per transfer per way (not per person). For Hmong Lodge and Panviman Resort & Spa: extra charge 1,100 baht per transfer per way. We will send a separate payment link upon request
