The tour starts with a scenic drive into the park, spotting wildlife in the treetops along the road — sometimes even tracking gibbon calls into the jungle on foot. A local trekking guide will meet you at the Visitor Center to start your chosen trail, before visiting the iconic Haew Suwat and Haew Narok waterfalls, both featured in the movie "The Beach."

🥾 Know Before You Go — Choose Your Trail
Trail 2: Phu Kluaimai Campground – Heo Suwat Waterfall
- Distance: 3 km. Walking time 2 hrs one way. Moderate — rough and steep.
- From the campsite, the head trail is at the end of the car park, following the creek to Pha Kluaimai Waterfall, where volcanic rock is visible near the falls. Wild red orchids bloom along the trail in March. Sometimes crocodiles are seen — walk with care. Ends at Heo Suwat Waterfall.
Trail 3: Nong Pak Chi Wildlife Observation Tower
- Distance: 3.3 km. Walking time 2 hrs one way.
- The head trail is next to the park's main road at km.33, with a small car park. Walks through evergreen forest with many big trees and figs — a good trail to see wildlife. Ends at the wildlife observation tower overlooking the lake, then follows a dirt road back.
Trail 5: Dong Tiew – Nong Pak Chi Wildlife Observation Tower
- Distance: 5 km. Walking time 3 hrs one way. Moderate — rough and steep.
- Head trail is south of the Visitor Center, across the road. Walks through rainforest ending in grassland and secondary forest, then down through the forest to Nong Pak Chi Watching Tower, about 1 km along a dirt road to the car park.
Trail 6: Visitor Center – Haw Suwat Waterfall (Not Recommended)
- Distance: 8 km. Walking time 5 hrs one way. Difficult route level.
- Head trail located by the swing bridge behind the Visitor Center — steep in places with tree falls and stream crossings. Pick-up arranged from the car park at Haw Suwat Waterfall.
Trail 7: Thai – American Friendship Trail
- Distance: 2 km. Walking time 1.3 hrs one way. Easy — even terrain.
- Head trail located across the top of the Sai Sorn Reservoir walkway. Highlights spectacular forest dynamics including dry evergreen forest, secondary forest and grassland — home to the Gibbon Habitat Research Project (white-handed and crowned gibbons).

💡 Remarks: The PB Valley Khao Yai Winery tour may get full quickly — book this tour sooner rather than later to secure the time slot. Chokchai Farm tour may have limited explanations in English.
