On a clear day, the panoramic views of the city and valley from the temple grounds are truly spectacular.
From the temple, continue to Bhubing Palace (Phuping Palace), the Royal Family's winter residence, to stroll through its landscaped rose and flower gardens. Your guide and air-conditioned vehicle collect you from your hotel in Chiang Mai city centre.
📍 Doi Suthep Temple
Climb (or take the funicular up) the naga staircase to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, view the golden chedi and holy relic, and take in the panoramic views over Chiang Mai.

Q: Is Bhubing Palace always open?
A: Bhubing Palace occasionally closes to visitors when the Royal Family is in residence or for official events. If this happens on your date, we will substitute an equivalent stop on the mountain and let you know in advance.
Q: What should I wear to visit Doi Suthep Temple?
A: As with any active Buddhist temple, shoulders and knees should be covered. Sarongs are available to borrow at the entrance if needed.
Q: Is this tour suitable for young children or those with limited mobility?
A: The temple is reached by a 306-step staircase, though a funicular tram is also available for a small extra fee for those who prefer not to climb. Bhubing Palace and the Hmong village involve only gentle, level walking.

🚫 Out of Route Area
The following areas are considered out of area for pick up and drop off: Mae Rim area, Sa Moeng area, Hang Dong area, San Kampang area, Veranda High Resort and some others outside of the city center. We will suggest a hotel in the city center as a meeting point at the time of confirmation.
A request for pick up and drop off at an out of area hotel is possible at an extra charge of 700 Baht per transfer per way (not per person). For Hmong Lodge and Panviman Resort & Spa: extra charge 1,100 Baht per transfer per way. We will send a separate payment link upon request.
